God save the Queen. Long may she reign.

SuccessionThe successor does not respect those he is to serve. I’ve updated his Coat of Arms to reflect the sentiment of his self-serving speeches denigrating those who hold opinions different from his own as “headless chickens”.

It is he who lives in a world removed from reality; far from an appreciation of science. He is quoted as saying

baffling … that in our modern world we have such blind trust in science and technology that we all accept what science tells us about everything – until, that is, it comes to climate science

And he is wrong in every respect. While those who do not deal with science on a regular basis might blindly trust, real scientists and Engineers don’t blindly trust. They should be well aware of the vast ignorance surrounding the tiny flecks of knowledge and current  understanding of the universe. They cautiously guide modern society along the narrow paths.

Were it not for nepotism, the man-child wouldn’t even get a job interview. Not even as a climate scientist.

God save the Queen. Long may she reign.

  1. John Brignell comments on the Royal oaf.

    Brignell follows up:

In a calculated act of lèse majesté, the epithet “oaf” was applied here to the heir to the throne last month. Though distasteful, this had a purpose, which was to emphasise that politeness is a two way process; a principle that is even more essential to the successful operation of a constitutional monarchy than to ordinary human intercourse.

I think what Charles meant to say was:

“baffling … that in our modern world we have such blind trust in science and technology that we all accept what science tells us about everything – until, that is, it comes to homeopathy”
